Software agent

Software that does a routine task end to end, such as matching bank lines or entering bills, instead of suggesting it. In our model a person checks every result.

In plain words

A software agent works in your own accounting software and finishes the task: it matches the bank line, enters the bill, sends the invoice. A suggestion tool stops before that and waits for someone to click.

Agents are good at work with a right answer. They are not good at judgment calls, and they do not talk to your customers. That is why a person checks every result and owns the books.

Example

A bill from a regular vendor

The bill email arrives. The agent reads the vendor, amount and due date, enters the bill in QuickBooks and codes it the way this vendor's last bill was coded. A new vendor would be flagged for the person instead.
