About OpenHeadcount

You posted a job. We fill it with a person who comes with AI.

OpenHeadcount puts forward named candidates for the finance job you posted. Whoever you pick works alongside software agents that do the routine work, checks every result, and owns the books.

A note from the founder

I hired for this job for a decade. We were paying people to be software.

I co-founded an e-commerce company and grew it to $120M in revenue and 150 people. Every time finance fell behind, the answer was the same: post the job, wait three months, hire one more person at one rate for every hour. Then I watched good people spend their days matching bank lines and retyping bills, work with a right answer, while the close slipped and my questions waited.

So we went and read the postings. 107,442 US finance jobs from March 22 to October 3, 2026, and nearly all of them ask for what I used to ask for: one person, one rate, every hour of the week. We read 150 bookkeeper postings by hand. 84 asked for someone in the building. Only 10 had a task that needed it.

The posting is the problem, not the people. Nobody went into accounting to retype bills. So we fill the job you posted with a named person who comes with software agents. The agents take the work that has a right answer. Your person checks every result, closes the month, makes the calls and answers your questions. You stop paying a person's rate for a machine's work, and they finally get to do the job they trained for.

What we are not, today
  • Proven by clientsWe are new under this name. There are no testimonials on this site, and there will not be any until real clients write them.
  • InstantWe never promise a start inside a week. A careful handover takes longer than that, so we start within the month.
  • CertifiedWe hold no security certification yet, and we will not show a badge until we do.

If any of that rules us out, I would rather you knew now than after the first close.

What we hold ourselves to

01

A person owns the result

Agents do the routine. A named person checks every agent result and answers for the books. Never a ticket queue.

02

Your books stay yours

We work inside your own QuickBooks or Xero, through a user you create and can switch off. Leaving is a handover, not a rescue.

03

Nothing hard to walk back

A first month with your money back, replacements when someone is wrong, and month to month after that.

04

Plain numbers

Every month you see who did what: the hours the agents took and the hours the person worked.

05
